2026 Summer Reading List

On August 8th NMS Beta Club handed out letters to all 324 Northwestern Middle School students who qualified for the club based on our required GPA of 3.5! The URL to join is printed on the letter as well as our calendar of events for the school year. Online applications are due by THIS Friday. Please ensure your child meets all requirements for Beta (3.5 GPA, no behavior referrals last school year, and are willing to complete 20 merit hours of service this year) before applying. 

If you were not in Zachary Schools last year and your child qualifies for and is interested in joining the NMS Beta Club, email their first and last name as well as the name and city of their previous school to Jessica.Concienne@zacharyschools.org

Our Mission Statement

Northwestern Middle School is dedicated to creating a community of
learning to ensure the success of all students. Through the cooperative
efforts of the parents, the community and the school, we are committed
to affording every middle school student the opportunity to succeed. The
Northwestern Middle School learning environment is characterized by:

demonstrated by administrators, faculty, and staff members
(2) A curriculum that is comprehensive and flexible enough to meet the
varied abilities and diverse needs of the individual student and ensure adequate preparation for a lifetime of maximum achievement

communication and interaction among administrators, faculty, staff,

(4) The promotion of exemplary citizenship through high expectations
